April 25, 1941 Friday
Ate our breakfast here at Y.M.C.A. then caught a bus across the street and went to Pearl Harbor to finish signing our marriage certificate. After all that was done, and my picture had been made for my pass into the air station, we went to Mr.and Mrs. Elmer Williams' and ate dinner. Harold and Bill went back to the station for inspection, and Mrs. Williams and I looked at pictures they made at Panama and when they were at Beebe (AR) last summer. We came back halfway to town and got out to wait for L.C. Harris to help us find a house. We waited until 4:15, and I came on into town, took a shower, cleaned out the dresser drawers, and about 7:00, Harold came in tired as could be. We dressed and went to town and ate dinner at the Alexander Young Hotel.
Still No House
The chaplain gave us both a white New Testament.
